WEDDINGS
A wedding brings together a couple in a public act of commitment and it is one of the most memorable days they will experience. At St Peter's we welcome those who ask for marriage, both within the parish and beyond (but subject to legal guidelines). If you are considering marriage we would invite you to meet someone from the church to discuss the possibilities. St Peter's is certainly one of the most beautiful locations for a wedding. We are happy to advise on practical matters, but also - and importantly - a member of the clergy team would want to talk with you about your approach to marriage.
There are plenty of venues for the reception in the area, from village halls to hotels and even the grand setting of Langley House, next to St Peter's.
BAPTISMS
We encourage parents to bring their children for baptism. In doing so we share the joy of families at the birth of a child and offer our support to parents in the great task given to them. It is also a channel through which a loved child is brought into the family of the church. And increasingly today, older children and adults are also seeking the baptism that they had missed out on earlier in life. St Peter's welcomes all those who make this choice to follow Jesus.
